What can I do if emails do not arrive?

Here we explain what you can do if reports are not reaching your customers.

If you notice that you or your customer do not receive the reports you have posted, or that these are declared as spam, the main cause for this is in most cases the so-called spf-record of your domain.

You now have two possibilities to solve this problem:

  1. the spf entry:

In
simple terms, this "spf-record"
defines which servers have permission to send e-mails on your behalf. For
example, if you want to use info@<ihrefirma>.de
as the sender address, the corresponding TXT entry in the DNS settings of the corresponding domain (<yourcompany>.de) must be adjusted.

For the sake of simplicity, we have already combined all COREDINATE servers that send e-mails in a corresponding entry (spf.coredinate.de). If you add
this to your spf entry, you officially authorise our servers to send your e-mails.

Example:

Your spf entry is: "v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.de -all".

Then you have to write an "include:spf.protection.outlook.de" in front of the "include:spf.coredinate.de" so that the entry is adjusted accordingly.

The finished entry then looks like this:

v=spf1 include:spf.coredinate.de include:spf.protection.outlook.de -all

The administrator who looks after your domain knows how these entries are made and where they are made.

Many public e-mail providers (e.g. t-online) declare the e-mails as spam. Therefore the following tip:

If you don't know how to change this spf entry and don't know anyone who can enter it for you, please enter noreply@coredinate.de as the sender address.

Then your e-mails should reappear in your usual mailbox.
